If you need to modify, exchange, or cancel your travel itinerary, please contact our travel support desk immediately so we can assist you with modifying your booking data with the transport carrier.
Cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of your train to allow sufficient time for our booking desk to process the request with the carrier. If you make a cancellation request within 2 hours of departure, we may not be able to guarantee processing before departure, which could result in the ticket being classified as a "no-show" (making it non-refundable under operator rules).
While some ticket classes allow fee-free exchanges directly under carrier rules, some modifications may trigger a fare difference depending on the real-time seat availability of your new train. In addition to any carrier fare differences, Amtrain reserves the right to charge an agency change handling fee of £15 per ticket to cover our manual reservation updates.
If the rail operator cancels your service due to mechanical failure, track blockages, severe weather, or internal delays, you are typically eligible for a full refund of the carrier ticket cost. We will act on your behalf to coordinate this claim with the carrier and return the refunded amount back to your payment account.
